Our History
Ethan Allen Highway Storage is owned and operated by life-long Addison County residents and community members, Steve and Marcia Dupoise. Not so long ago (two+ decades actually), Steve and Marcia bought a camper to enjoy with their family and grandchildren. Fall came around that first year, and they were not thrilled about parking the camper in the yard for the winter, the wind beating away at a bright-blue tarp and killing the grass. As they searched for local storage options, they discovered that there were few in Addison County.
The following year, the land that is now the home of Ethan Allen Highway Storage came up for sale. Steve and Marcia moved forward with building their own storage building, and quickly recognized the opportunity to serve our community with additional storage services.
Every couple of years since the early 2000’s, a new building has been added, over time becoming the 13-building gated, paved and well-lit facility that we now see as we travel Route 7 north of Middlebury today.
